What sizes does JOY offer?

JOY's own label Louche runs in UK sizes 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16, which correspond to US 4 to 12 and EU 36 to 44.

Is JOY sizing consistent between collections?

Yes. Sizing is consistent across every collection because each garment is fitted on the same fit model JOY has worked with for years (5ft 6 / 168cm, UK size 10), so once you know your JOY size it stays your JOY size. The models in product photographs are different; each product page states that model's height and size.

How do I measure myself to find my JOY size?

Measure your bust around the fullest part of your chest keeping the tape level, your waist around the natural waistline, and your hips around the fullest part, then compare with the chart. In centimetres, UK 8 to 16 is bust 84 to 104, waist 66 to 86, hip 91 to 111.

Does JOY run big or small?

JOY's fit is relaxed as standard. If you prefer a closer, more tailored line, go down a size. Where a style runs differently, it is flagged on the product page, which also gives the model's height and the size she wears.

Do JOY dresses have pockets?

95% of JOY dresses have pockets, and many have a discreet elasticated waistband for comfort without losing the silhouette.

A relaxed, easy fit as standard. If you prefer a closer, more tailored line, go down a size. Where a style runs differently, we say so on the product page.

Discreet elasticated waistbands. Many of our dresses feature a discreet elasticated waistband, offering extra comfort and a flattering fit without compromising the silhouette.

Pockets. 95% of our dresses have pockets because we believe all dresses should have them whenever possible.

Model measurements on every product page. Each listing gives the model's height and the size she is wearing, so you can compare.

Measure your bust, waist and hips and compare them with the chart. Use a soft tape, keep it level and do not pull it tight.

Bust: around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level.
Waist: around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso.
Hip: around the fullest part of your hips.
