Allocator

We are looking for an allocator to join our Merchandising team at Joy. The ideal candidate will either have had previous experience working for a fashion retailer or will be a recent graduate with degree in a mathematical discipline. You will need to be highly organised and self-motivated with strong administration skills.

You will support the head office team and ensure we maximise sales with the following responsibilities:

  • Planning allocations by store based on sales history information.
  • Analysing merchandise performance in order to maximise sales potential.

Junior Graphic Designer

We're expanding our creative team and currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly creative and talented junior graphic designer to join our in-house graphics team. The role is extremely varied so we're looking for a good all rounder who can turn their hand to any creative brief that comes their way.

As junior graphic designer you'll undertake the design and production of graphic material such as in-store graphics, window displays, point of sale, posters, invitations, and postcards as well as designs for marketing promotions, press events and other brand related projects all under the direction and guidance of the senior graphic designer. You'll also have the opportunity to be involved with the design of gifts and packaging for our own Joy and Happiness gift and home ware ranges, so an interest in home and lifestyle products is essential.

Quality Controller

Junior Studio Photographer

We are recruiting for a Junior Photographer to work in our busy in-house studio. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming a permanent role.

As our Junior Studio Photographer you will work alongside our Lead Photographer to shoot a variety of products for Joythestore.com, including womenswear, menswear, accessories and gifts.

Main requirements/responsibilites:

  • Ensure all images are shot to the highest standard.

Retail Project Manager

To project manage the fit-out of a portfolio of new JOY stores, relocations and refits within the UK, working closely with our design team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the high quality of finish expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate projects as assigned in line with the store opening programme
  • Survey potential new sites and report suitability, risks and recommendations, advising on dilapidation and repair issues and likely costs
  • To provide advice on all aspects of fit out, repair and maintenance for the proposed and existing store portfolio
  • Responsible for all aspects of new project costs
  • Provide a cost management focus in all areas of responsibility. Challenging costs and identify methods to reduce costs.
  • Work with the Design, Retail and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure all requirements are communicated and met.
  • Steer design process to ensure the design package is produced in a timely manner and in accordance with landlord, planning and statutory requirements.
  • Obtain competitive costs from contractors and suppliers, compile capital costs with the finance team for approval.
  • Manage relations amongst contractors, suppliers and counsultants, ensuring they are aware of their areas of responsibilities.
  • Communicate the design philosophy to contractors and supplier ensuring each store has the impact and depth required by JOY and the design team.
  • Produce technical and design solutions onsite to dovetail designers concept with the physicalitys of the builings and the local environment.
  • Ensure all contractors meet JOY's standards in their quality of work, service and Health and Safety
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Proven track record in retail store design and fit-out project management, preferably with a quality brand retailer with an ambitious store roll out programme.
  • Will also consider candidates working for a commercial contractor servicing the retail industry, who have worked on retail projects.

Accountant

This role will provide new challenges as the brand is undergoing exciting changes across both retail and its rapidly expanding wholesale business.

Key responsibilities of the accountant job will include:

  • Responsibility for preparation of the management accounts
  • Management of the month end process
  • Supervision of all accounting processes (Gross profit reconciliations, monthly accruals and prepayments, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, Fixed Assets and journals)
  • Lead the company's financial accounting, reporting and control activities to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.
  • Operate a financial control framework, including reporting responsibilities, financial accountabilities and authorities to ensure full financial control
  • Ensure full day-to-day reporting responsibilities are undertaken
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flow and financial information

Accounts Assistant

Job role/responsibilities:

The main part of the job will be to take over the handling of the Purchase Ledger. Tasks will include:

  • Posting the invoices to the ledger
  • Reviewing Utility bills
  • Timely payment of all utility bills, including water. Phone etc
  • Liaise internally and with energy supplier to resolve account queries
  • Ensuring all suppliers' accounts are settled within our terms
  • Dealing with suppliers' queries

There will also be times when assistance is needed during busy times. Tasks may include:

  • Matching suppliers' delivery notes to invoices
  • Agreeing the price charged to our company purchase order
  • You may be required to take on other accounting duties such as dealing with employees' reclaims and reconciling bank statements.

We are searching for a creative and innovative Sales Executive to join our dynamic team, who can further develop the success of Louche and push the growth of our valuable customer base. We are set to expand our wholesale accounts throughout the UK, Europe and on to America and Japan, from leading department stores to edgy independents. The successful candidate will be driven by exceptional customer service and the development of strong relationships. Day-to-day the role will be based in London, though travel both nationally and internationally to attend trade shows and client meetings is required.

Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will be looking after our retail stores nationwide. We are looking for someone with a strong passion to support the store teams with any operational issues and drive the sales within the team whilst working closely with other areas of the business.

Main requirements/responsibilites:

  • To drive the performance of the stores, looking closely at P&L, Targets and KPI’s
  • To effectively manage wage costs
  • Stock loss management
  • Oversee system changes
  • Working closely with project managers during new store openings
  • To control and deliver all store maintenance and repairs whilst building relationships with contractors and suppliers
  • To oversee all aspects of health and safety
  • Work closely with the VM team to ensure that standards are kept high in all stores
  • Working closely with HR and Sales support manager to drive the business

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • A passion for getting involved in all areas of a small and exciting business
  • A full understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Basic awareness of employee relations, legislation and HR policies
