Wholesale Admin Assistant

The Wholesale Admin Assistant will be assisting the Louche and Hymn Sales Executives in looking after our customer base. We are looking for someone with a strong passion to support the team with any operational issues and drive the sales within the team whilst working closely with other areas of the business. Ideally looking for someone with experience in a wholesale or retail office environment.

Studio Stylist

To assist the studio manager in ensuring the highest quality output for all photo shoots across the business, working to agreed style guidelines for fashion and still life. You will work closely with senior members of the business to interpret new styling trends in a brand appropriate way. You will be responsible for managing the sample coordination to ensure the right product is available to shoot at the right time, working closely with the buying and ecommerce teams to understand priorities and maintain the product spec sheet. Work closely with the Content Coordinator to ensure all product copy has been written ready for image upload and there are no delays to product going live.

Main requirements/responsibilities:

  • Run daily shoots, maintaining a positive energy in the studio at all times.
  • Working with the photographer to ensure that all imagery created meets the brief, is approved by the relevant teams, and delivered on time
  • Deliver strong fashion and styling sense with the ability to incorporate new trends in keeping with the brand image
  • To ensure effective sample coordination for shoots
  • Style all images shot in the studio whether on a mannequin, model or a small individual product shot.
  • Ensure product prioritisation of shooting on set in order to achieve the minimum daily shot count. Communicate this to permanent and freelance members of the team.
  • Establish and maintain close relations with the members of the studio, ecommerce, buying, wholesale and PR teams
  • Prepare an email summary of the days shoot for review and distribute to relevant departments
  • Identify areas for improved processes for increased studio output and proactively seek out opportunities to put us ahead of our competition

Skills required:

  • Fashion background and previous studio styling experience
  • Previous fashion e-commerce retail experience desirable
  • Self-starter able to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines, in a fast paced environment.

Garment Technologist

JOY currently has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Garment Technologist. We are looking for employees who have the personality to match our brand. We want fashion forward, vivacious candidates who possess a can-do attitude and a great sense of humour to join our close-knit team.

  • We at Joy looking for an experienced Garment Technologist with a strong multi-product background; Have experience of working with every category from wovens to knitwear.

Junior Retoucher

Junior Studio Retoucher

We are currently seeking out a creative and talented Junior Retoucher to work at our busy in-house studio.
The studio works across all the creative functions of styling, photography, retouching and visual merchandising for the website, to bring Joythestore.com to life.  
As Junior Retoucher you will work alongside our studio team to retouch a variety of product images for Joythestore.com, including still life, invisible mannequin and model photography.
Samples of your work and references will be requested.

Main requirements/responsibilities:

  • Advanced retouching skills and varied experience working with both product and model imagery are key to this role.
  • Be a proficient Mac user with a developed knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CS6 and experience working with RAW files in Capture One.
  • An ability to work with layers, masks, liquefy, colour balance, filters and clipping paths within their workflow is essential.
  • Ensure all imagery is consistently retouched to the highest possible quality, meeting brand standards and guaranteeing products are accurately colour corrected and looking their best.
  • Enjoy working with our small but highly motivated studio team.
  • Have an exceptional eye for detail, good time management and communication skills.
  • Be highly self-motivated, reliable and have a proven ability of working in a fast paced environment whilst adhering to tight deadlines.

Store Support Manager

JOY currently has an exciting opportunity for a Support Manager to join our growing Retail team. We are looking for employees who have the personality to match our brand. The role of the Support Manager is to drive commercially across all stores of the JOY business. Responsibilities

  • Ensure all stores are assisted in reaching their weekly targets.

E-commerce Manager

Summary of role

  • Plan and implement an Ecommerce strategy

Online Copywriter

The Role

Responsible for delivering the brand tone of voice across all written communication on the website through online marketing and channels. Identification of opportunities to increase engagement on the website and maximise click through on online marketing activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Copy
  • Responsible for writing product descriptions for new intake in line with the critical path. Forming close relationships with the buying and online production team in order to source product information and Unique Selling Points of items.
  • Work with the Content Editor to create compelling Homepage and site-wide marketing messages.

Job roles/responsibilities:

  • To assist in the operation of all Sales Ledger functions for our Wholesale department.
  • To write up and post all income to corporate bank accounts as required.
  • To prepare all income for banking on a daily basis and to assist with banking in Liaison with other team members within both the accounts department and the wholesale team.
  • To ensure prompt payment of invoices raised.
  • To complete any tasks relevant to enable close down of monthly accounts.

Assistant Accountant

As one of the UK's fastest growing independent fashion and gift retailers, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant accountant to join JOY's expanding team. This role will provide new challenges as the brand is undergoing exciting changes across both retail and its rapidly expanding wholesale business.

Key responsibilities of the accountant job will include:

  • Responsibility for preparation of the management accounts
  • Management of the month end process
  • Supervision of all accounting processes (Gross profit reconciliations, monthly accruals and prepayments, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, Fixed Assets and journals)
  • Lead the company's financial accounting, reporting and control activities to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.
  • Operate a financial control framework, including reporting responsibilities, financial accountabilities and authorities to ensure full financial control
  • Ensure full day-to-day reporting responsibilities are undertaken
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flow and financial information

Fit Model

The JOY head office team is currently searching for a new fit model.

You will be required to model sample garments before production whilst we make notes. You will not be photographed.

You will need to be a UK SIZE 12, roughly the following measurements:

  • 5ft 6 - 5ft 7...165-167.5cm
  • Bust 36.5"/93cm
  • Waist 29"/74cm
  • Hips 39"/99cm

The pay is £20ph, approx. 3 hours per week, during office hours.

The role of the Commercial Support Manager is to drive commerciality across all stores of the JOY business. Commercial Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all store are assisted in reaching their weekly targets.
  • Assisting the Finance team in forecasting and re-forecasting store targets across the business.
  • Addressing Profit and Loss reports across all stores for the profitability of the JOY business.
  • Implement individual store strategies.
  • Ensure effective communication is delivered across the business.
  • Support Store Managers in achieving company standards of AVT and UPT.
  • Have a positive influence to help drive performance across all stores as well as leading and managing all Store Managers.
  • Use regular Store visits; inter-department visits as well as meetings and reviews to manage Stores performance and expectations.
  • Support with recruitment of all Store Managers.
  • Hold and run regular training sessions to educate all staff on commerciality and its importance in the retail world.
  • Ensure that JOY policies and procedures are being rolled out.
  • Manage, check and monitor all stock take results. Be involved in a series of company stock takes to ensure compliancy.
  • You will check daily housekeeping as well as setting clear expectations.
  • Working with the Marketing and PR teams to ensure that your stores are being supported in reaching their targets

What we are looking for :

  • You will have experience in commercial support manager role or similar
  • You will have experience in training, developing and monitoring staff.
  • You will have experience in ensuring that health and safety is being kept to an acceptable standard.
  • You will have experience in managing multiple sites and liasing with different departments within a head office.
