Here at JOY, we are looking to continue our growth, further develop our own label, Louche, and expand internationally through wholesale, concessions and franchising.

    Store Managers

    Style Advisors
    JOY always needs fresh, enthusiastic and fashion loving sales advisors to help make us sparkle!     Eccommerce Manager

    We are looking for an exceptional Ecommerce Manager who has the personality to match our brand. We want fashion forward, vivacious candidates who possess a driven, can-do attitude and a great sense of humour to join our close-knit team. The successful Ecommerce Manager will be responsible for delivering the project on time and within budget to the specified quality, meeting desired business objectives.

    Merchandising Admin Assistant

    We are looking for an experienced Merchandising Admin Assistant to join our Merchandising team at Joy.  The ideal candidate will preferably have had previous experience working for a fashion retailer and will have a good understanding of the processes involved.  You will need to be highly organised and self-motivated with strong administration skills. 

    You will support the head office team and ensure we maximise sales with the following responsibilities:
  • Planning allocations by store based on sales history information
  • Analysing merchandise performance in order to maximise sales potential
  • Carrying out ad hoc analysis to support the merchandising function
  • Liaising with the warehouse and stores on a regular basis
  • Stock replenishment
  • Arranging stock transfers
  • Collating daily sales information
  • Store visits

  • Key Skills:
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • A retail background would be desirable
  • Good communication skills

    Buyers Admin Assistant

    We are looking for an experienced BAA, with a great personality to join the Womenswear buying team at Joy. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working for a fashion retailer and will have a good understanding of fashion trends, customer needs and our competitors. You will need to be highly organised and self motivated with strong administrative skills. A passion for fashion and a sense of humour are essential.

    Accounts Assistant

    Job role/responsibilities:
    The main part of the job will be to take over the handling of the Purchase Ledger. Tasks will include:
  • Posting the invoices to the ledger
  • Reviewing Utility bills
  • Timely payment of all utility bills, including water. Phone etc
  • Liaise internally and with energy supplier to resolve account queries
  • Ensuring all suppliers' accounts are settled within our terms
  • Dealing with suppliers' queries

    There will also be times when assistance is needed during busy times. Tasks may include:
  • Matching suppliers' delivery notes to invoices
  • Agreeing the price charged to our company purchase order
  • You may be required to take on other accounting duties such as dealing with employees' reclaims and reconciling bank statements.
  • To deal with daily transactions for the petty cash and ensure that reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis
  • To ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Processes payments and documents such as invoices, journal vouchers, employee reimbursements and statements.
  • Files and/or removes records and reports.
  • Reviewing utility bills.
  • Operates standard office equipment.
  • Performing related work as assigned.

    The ideal candidate would have the following qualities:
  • Previous experience of at least two year in a similar role
  • Have an aptitude for figures and an eye for detail
  • Have knowledge of Sage line 50 accounting software
  • Strong Microsoft and Excel skills
  • Able to work well under his/her own initiative
  • Be accurate and proficient in all tasks
  • Able to communicate efficiently with our suppliers and customers as necessary
  • Capable of meeting strict deadlines
  • Good organisation and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

    Finance Coordinator

    We are looking for a Finance Coordinator who has the personality to match our brand. We want fashion forward, vivacious candidates who possess a driven, can-do attitude and a great sense of humour to join our close-knit team.

    Job roles/responsibilities:
  • Support the management team by providing weekly, monthly and ad-hoc financial KPIs
  • Research and explore alternative methods of raising finance. Develop and maintain a friendly relationship with finance houses and banks
  • Feasibility analysis and budget management
  • Assist the chief executive with ad-hoc analysis and various projects within the company
  • The ideal candidate would be well educated with practical business skills, acquired through banking or retail experience.

    Wholesale Admin Assistant
    Job description
    Reporting to Sale Executive
    Louche is JOY's biggest growing brand. This is an excellent opportunity for a first insight of a wholesale business, working closely with the bigger names on the international market. Louche is a fast growing brand with 100 customers including key accounts that need to be taken care of.
    1. Developing the potential customers database:
  • Posting marketing material
  • Updating in-house database

  • 2. Covering for SE when not in office
  • Phone and email coverage

  • 3. Assisting SE with Key accounts:
    Reading the customer’s manual and making sure all is covered:
  • Labelling
  • Online database
  • Customs requirement
  • Samples when requested

  • 4. Logistic administrative tasks
  • Placing orders are on the system, liaising with Assistant Merchandiser
  • Liaising with warehouse about despatched orders

    Webdesigner

    JOY are looking for a highly creative, dynamic, talented and commercial person to join their small ecommerce team as Web Designer and help create a cutting edge, original and user friendly experience online and via all web communications.

    The key areas of responsibility are:
  • To create visually compelling content for website merchandising and promotions including the homepage, banners and themed landing pages
  • Design and preparation of HTML e-mails

  • Ideally, candidates should have knowledge and experience with the following:
  • Ecommerce websites
  • E-mail marketing (HTML e-mails)

  • Usability best practice

  • Requirements
    The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification in a design or related subject and 1-2 years and experience of working in the fashion retail industry. A thorough working knowledge of HTML and CSS, and experience with Photoshop are essential. JavaScript, Flash, Illustrator are an advantage.

    A candidate with a keen eye for design, photography and typography, who appreciates the fine balance between visual design and usability is key. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work to tight deadlines in a commercial environment and enjoy working in a small team. JOY are looking for someone with experience working in a fashion or lifestyle brand (or agency) and who is passionate about fashion, ecommerce and the JOY proposition.

    As well as the web design, this role will encompass the drafting of copy and strap lines to go hand in hand with the creative and visuals. The candidate should be hugely passionate about fashion, constantly looking at websites, blogs and reading fashion magazines, to help with creating themes and ideas for website and email content and functionality.

    In-house Shoot Model (part time)
    JOY currently has an exciting opportunity for a fashion/JOY lover looking to break into the competitive world of modelling and earn some extra money. We are looking for a female model to attend our studio shoots and wear fabulous JOY clothes (to appear online) for product focused garment shots.

    Candidate Specification:
    These images are intended to show the fit of garments and styling ideas, focusing on the silhouette, these will not be portrait or editorial photographs, therefore we are not searching for a specific ‘look', just someone who wears the clothes well. The ideal candidate would be 5' 7" (170.2 cm) - 5' 11" (180.3 cm), dress size 8-10 and feel comfortable in front of the camera.

    Online PR Intern
    JOY is looking for lively, outgoing, fashion obsessed and generally brilliant person to join our PR team as an intern, focussing solely on digital and online PR.

    The role will involve:
  • Implementing the online PR strategy
  • Segmenting and targeting bloggers and online fashion editors to write features about JOY
  • Targeting key terms to be used in the features as part of an ongoing SEO campaign
  • Write and distribute press releases about joythestore.com to the online community
  • Approaching notable personalities to do guest curations on our blog
  • Advise and interact with customers via our Live chat feature.

    Press and PR Intern
    JOY is currently recruiting a Press and PR Intern to work in our ever-expanding inhouse press office. The role will report to the Press Officer, supporting them across project-based work alongside managing the day-to-day running of press liaisons and all sample requests.

    This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a rapidly expanding retailer, in a dynamic team who work closely with all contacts to better the brand proposition and place across all relevant media.
